I have not had the opportunity to finish the amp yet. The problem was that the reverb control wasn't working properly, and I had to take the main circuit board out to get at the circuitry. We haven't made Superfly amps for years, so I had to reset the test systems for testing Superfly amps. I'm going to do my best to get it finished this week, as the sooner it gets done, the sooner I can have that bench back.</p> <p>Sorry for the delays,</p> <p>BZ</p> </div></div> </div> <span class="field field-name-uid field-formatter-author field-type-entity-reference field-label-hidden"><span lang="" about="/users/zinkyuser" typeof="schema:Person" property="schema:name" datatype="">ZinkyUser</span></span> <span class="field field-name-created field-formatter-timestamp field-type-created field-label-hidden">Wed, 10/28/2009 - 19:09</span> Wed, 28 Oct 2009 19:09:55 +0000 ZinkyUser 54 at http://dave.st Part 10: Check The Reverb Valve http://dave.st/zinkyblog/part-10-check-reverb-valve <span class="field field-name-title field-formatter-string field-type-string field-label-hidden">Part 10: Check The Reverb Valve</span> <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field-node--field-blog-annotation field-formatter-text-default field-name-field-blog-annotation field-type-text-long field-label-hidden has-single"><div class="field__items"><div class="field__item"><p>From: <a href="mailto:zinky@zinky.com">zinky@zinky.com</a><br /> Subject: Re: March 14 email about frustrating Superfly Combo reverb problem<br /> Date: 15 March 2007 23:34:01 GMT<br /> To: <a href="mailto:dave@dave.st">dave@dave.st</a></p> <p>Hi Dave;</p> <p>The Reverb tube (small tube nearest the large transfomer and near the RCA jack for Reverb Send) should be a 12AT7 type. a 12AX7 used here might exhibit intermittent behavior. Also, it COULD be a faulty 12AT7. Check that and let me know. If it were something like a bad Reverb transformer, that is covered under warranty and would mean no charge (other than shipping) for the complete upgrade.</p> <p>BZ</p> </div></div> </div> <span class="field field-name-uid field-formatter-author field-type-entity-reference field-label-hidden"><span lang="" about="/users/zinkyuser" typeof="schema:Person" property="schema:name" datatype="">ZinkyUser</span></span> <span class="field field-name-created field-formatter-timestamp field-type-created field-label-hidden">Wed, 10/28/2009 - 15:40</span> Wed, 28 Oct 2009 15:40:48 +0000 ZinkyUser 19 at http://dave.st Part 8: No UK Repairer? http://dave.st/zinkyblog/part-8-no-uk-repairer <span class="field field-name-title field-formatter-string field-type-string field-label-hidden">Part 8: No UK Repairer?</span> <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field-node--field-blog-annotation field-formatter-text-default field-name-field-blog-annotation field-type-text-long field-label-hidden has-single"><div class="field__items"><div class="field__item"><p>From: <a href="mailto:zinky@zinky.com">zinky@zinky.com</a><br /> Subject: Re: Trying again with my 22 Feb reply re: Frustrating Superfly Combo reverb problem<br /> Date: 14 March 2007 21:32:01 GMT<br /> To: <a href="mailto:dave@dave.st">dave@dave.st</a></p> <p>Dave;</p> <p>Upgrades include everything we know that will improve the Superfly.</p> <p>UK- I don't know anyone in the UK with the ability who has the time. Adrian from Orange had done one upgrade fix for us (after some famous and clueless amp tech couldn't figure it out). As far as shipping goes, I may be able to get the amp consigned with another cargo to substantially reduce the shipping cost. However, there would be a wait.</p> <p>If the reverb is not working at all, and all of the tubes are correct and the reverb pan checks out, I will do the upgrade at no charge.</p> <p>What is the serial number on your Superfly?</p> <p>BZ</p> </div></div> </div> <span class="field field-name-uid field-formatter-author field-type-entity-reference field-label-hidden"><span lang="" about="/users/zinkyuser" typeof="schema:Person" property="schema:name" datatype="">ZinkyUser</span></span> <span class="field field-name-created field-formatter-timestamp field-type-created field-label-hidden">Wed, 10/28/2009 - 15:26</span> Wed, 28 Oct 2009 15:26:04 +0000 ZinkyUser 17 at http://dave.st
